PROTOCOL
Standard caps. The "I" is a clean vertical bar. Modern, neutral. This is what you see across the wireframe right now.
WIREFRAME v3 / VARIABLE FONT. Single VF file (46 KB, 72% smaller than v2). Continuous weights enable fine-tuning. Brand-wide: slashed zero (aerospace convention). Stats blocks: tabular numbers. Variable weights now used: 110 (hero accent, slightly heavier than strict Thin), 200 (em emphasis), 400 (body), 500 (UI), 700 (display).
[01] HERO / FIRST CONTACT

A universe
at the
speed of light.

A NASApunk tabletop wargame where the real victory is the war that never happened. Print at home. Read the situation. Decide what counts as winning.

SYS: ONLINE BLOCK 1.0 — TECHNOLOGICAL COLD WAR SCALE: 28-32MM
HERO / WEIGHT 110. "Speed of light" is set at weight 110 — slightly heavier than strict Thin (100). At display sizes, pure 100 reads almost too fragile. 110 keeps the airy quality but stops it from disappearing. This precision is only available with VF.
[02] THE THESIS

What's worth more: the kill, or the catastrophe avoided?

In most wargames, you win by destroying. In Escalation Protocol, you can also win by preventing. By holding a line. By aborting a chain reaction. By reading the room before the room explodes. The factions clash. The interests collide. But somewhere in every session, there's a question on the table.

The protocol isn't a weapon. It's a discipline.
[03] WHY THIS EXISTS

Three reasons,
one protocol.

Escalation Protocol exists at the intersection of tabletop hobby, maker culture, and the real-world space age that's already here.

01 / ACCESS

Print
anywhere.

If you have a 3D printer, you have access. If you don't, you know someone who does. The file travels at the speed of light. No shipping. No middleman.

02 / CRAFT

Learn
by building.

Every model is an excuse to open a manual, fix a failed print, sand a part, paint it. The generation that's going to live in orbit needs to know how to repair things. We start with a miniature.

03 / CULTURE

Rehearse
the future.

A kid pushing a Centurion is thinking about orbital logistics. An adult assembling a shuttle is reviewing reentry aerodynamics. The lessons aren't only how to fight. They're how not to.

[04] THE UNIVERSE

Factions,
not sides.

No heroes. No villains. Three philosophies of power, three relationships with the same leaked technology.

FACTION 01

S.A.T.O.R.

Centurions / Order

Stable. Rare. Exact. The Centurions trust precision over abundance. Their Echo is the cleanest signal in the galaxy. There just isn't much of it.

R.O.T.A.S.

Space Dogs / Resistance

Wider window. Louder signal. The Space Dogs overclock their Echo. They see more. They also see static. Reading it is the skill.

[ UPLIFT RENDER ]
FACTION 03

UPLIFT CORP

Logistics / Synthetic

Statistical. Embedded. Always running. UPLIFT doesn't predict, they compute. Their drones and cyborgs carry the Echo as a probability layer. They also run the supply chain of the solar system.

[05] THE MECHANIC

Time isn't a backdrop. It's a battlefield.

Light has a speed. Orders take minutes. Reinforcements take hours. Once, in secret, someone broke the rule. The technology leaked. Now everyone has a version of it. We call it an Echo: a message from a future that hasn't happened yet.

Expensive. Unstable. Often wrong. What you do with it decides whether that future becomes real.

[06] HOW IT WORKS

From file
to table.

Four steps. No shipping. No restocks. No middleman.

STEP 01

Get the
STL.

Buy on MyMiniFactory or grab the free starter unit. License covers personal printing.

STEP 02

Print
at home.

Pre-supported files. Resin or FDM. Tested settings included. Or send it to a print service.

STEP 03

Assemble
and paint.

Modular parts. Swappable loadouts. Build a base body, customize the rest. Paint optional.

STEP 04

Bring to
the table.

Compatible with Stargrave, Five Parsecs and your usual systems. Or play Escalation Protocol rules.

[07] THE RECORD

Built
and battle-tested.

Moon Strike, the first Escalation Protocol campaign, launched in October 2025 and closed November 30 with three milestones unlocked.

NUMBERS / TABULAR + SLASHED ZERO. The "$1,375", "64", and "3 / 3" all use tabular numbers (fixed width) and slashed zero. Look closely at the zeros — they have a diagonal line. This is the aerospace convention applied across all numerical displays in the brand. Cumulative effect: the project reads as technically rigorous, not just stylistically themed.
